- 2000 Las Vegas Blvd.
- in other words: strä-to-sfier
The hotel is no longer part of the actual “strip”, rather it is located between the strip and downtown. The area here is not considered to be particularly safe at night, but many European tour groups are accommodated here. The 1,444 rooms are cheap in the Las Vegas price comparison – probably also because of their unfortunate location. From the 7th floor you have a nice view of the strip.

Attractions
- Stratosphere Tower
The hotel tower is an attraction in itself, at 356 meters it is considered to be the highest tower west of the Mississippi (in the USA, a superlative must always be used for advertising reasons!). In 75 seconds you can drive to the viewing terrace on the 109th floor with a 360-degree panoramic view. On the floor below, the view behind windows is just as good, if not better. Tickets for the driveway are available in the hotel lobby to the right of the main entrance (however, the elevators start at the end of the second floor).
- Stratosphere Hotel & Casino Thrill Rides
Big Shot: Let yourself be shot up into the air at a speed of 75 km / h, buckled up in armchairs that are fastened around a scaffold, and experience the feeling of weightlessness for a moment before you go back on the Reach launch pad.
High Roller: The highest roller coaster in the world at 315 meters makes two rotations clockwise at a 32-degree angle and 56 km / h. Open daily.
Big Shot $ 6 (with tower $ 11), High Roller $ 5 ($ 9), Tower and both attractions $ 15
XScream: The thrill of numerous rides is fear of heights, the height of the roller coaster is actually what is scary during the ride. The third high-altitude attraction is the Stratosphere Tower, which is perhaps the scariest of all known to date. The attraction is based on the principle of the swing. There is an eight-seat car at the top of the swing. This is raised about 14 meters, inclined by 30 degrees and then crashes back to the starting point at a speed of about 50 kilometers / hour, where it comes to a screeching halt. There it bobs about 300 meters above Las Vegas with a view of the Strip. Especially the passengers in the first row have a risky experience. The magnetic brakes are in the middle of the vehicle,
Strat-O-Fair: A fun fair from 1963 with battery-operated bumper cars, a restored Ferris wheel from 1958 and a child-friendly version of the “Big Shot”.
